My name is Vinod Sharma.

Currently, I am Working as a Security Research Engineer in IPS research team of Avert Labs(now called McAfee labs) at McAfee India. My work profile includes capturing, dissecting and analyzing network application protocols. It requires reverse engineering of the closed source applications.

Prior to McAfee, I was working as a Vulnerability Researcher in Security Research Group at iPolicyNetworks. Here I was mainly involved in vulnerability research for various new and old vulnerabilities, and developed IDS/IPS signatures.

I am actively involved in discussion on latest security topics on various information security forums. Being passionate about information security, i keep myself busy in exploring things that will help internet community to protect themselves against sever attacks by making them aware of information security.

The main purpose of SecurityGyan is all about sharing information security knowledge with the internet community.
